Giving Speeches
Giving Speeches Is a Tried and True Method of
Lead Generation, Lead Conversion, and Business
Marketing: Here's Some Key Tips To Help You Succeed:
If you're new to giving speeches, you're probably
going to end up being led down the wrong path
- This article is going to save you a lot of wasted
time and lost income from barking up the wrong
trees.
First, realize that giving speeches should not
be seen as anything more than free advertising.
Forget about speaking fees from giving speeches
- that's literally a mere pittance compared with
what you'll make on "the back end".
Giving speeches in front of almost any group
that will have you is good advice; at the same
time, realize that some groups will be more conducive
to getting immediate prospects and customers than
other groups.
When you are out giving speeches you're building
up your experience and skill and even if this
group is not a bunch of hot prospects, you should
still deliver great content because you'll establish
yourself as the expert and they will refer people
to you.
One of my students has gotten four referrals
that turned into business from a lady that is
not a client!
Think about that - this lady attended a speech
of one of my students, has not done any business
with my student, but has referred 4 clients to
my student!
That's the power of giving speeches, even to
groups that are not going to ever turn into clients!
Now, for the "newbies" out there, I want to give
you a killer tip for giving speeches:
If you're new to giving speeches, you probably
feel that you should "hold back" and not give
out your best content.
I felt that way when I first started out too.
But I've found out over the years that in fact
the opposite is true.
When you're out giving speeches to promote your
business, don't hold back.
Give them your best content, reveal your juiciest
secrets.
Sure, some will run away, use your information
and not do business with you, but the majority
will see you as an extremely knowledgeable expert.
In fact, you should overwhelm them with information!
The result is that they'll see you as THE person
they need to help them in your area of expertise.
Now, start giving speeches, and don't make excuses.
You'll be glad you did.
