Public Speaking Training Courses:
The 3 Critical Questions You Must Ask
When evaluating public speaking training courses,
there are 3 Critical Questions you must ask to
make sure you're not wasting your investment of
time and money.
Critical Question #1: Who will actually be
conducting the entire course of training?
Think of it this way: if you wanted to study
Karate, who would you rather be trained by - one
of the other Karate students, or by the actual
Master of the School?
Be sure that any public speaking training courses
you're seriously considering spending your money
on will be conducted 100% by the actual expert
who runs that training company.
Don't buy into a great sounding course only to
get stuck being trained by some inexperienced
flunky - you want the expert's eagle eye on you
the entire time.
Critical Question #2 - Will you get hands-on
training plus lots of personal attention?
Sitting through lectures will never make you
a better speaker - only hands-on experience will
get you there.
Make sure no more than 20% will be lecture and
at least 80% of the course will be hands-on experience.
Also, make sure you'll get a lot of personal
attention. Without lots of personal attention
you simply won't be able to develop and make progress.
Critical Question #3 - Can you retake the
training course for free?
If you can retake the course for free, then you
can be assured that this course is very good and
the company is very confident in their courses
- AND that you're not walking into a sales pitch
disguised as a public speaking training..
This is where most training companies fall down
because they'll make you pay to retake the training
you just took.
Only the very best public speaking training courses
are conducted by companies that allow you to retake
their course again for free.
Summary:
Be sure to ask these 3 Critical Questions
when evaluating public speaking training courses:
- Is 100% of the course taught by the experienced
expert? - Never settle for trainings where you're
pawned off on some assistant with questionable
experience and ability.
- Will you be receiving hands-on experience
and will you receive lots and lots of personal
attention and feedback? - Make sure at least
80% of the course will be hands-on training
and that you'll get lots of personal attention.
- Can you retake the training again for free?
Only the most reputable company is dedicated
enough to your progress and development to allow
you to come back and train again at no extra
cost to you - and this is also a clear indication
that you're NOT walking into a sales pitch disguised
as a public speaking training..
